Or are you someone who dreams of going back in time to marvel the medieval villages? Or do you have the elegant taste for wine? If you are then you will surely enjoy the beauty of Germany.

One of the must see places in Germany is Erfurt city. In this city, you will be amazed to see the Old Town and the marvelous Cathedral and even the Church of St. Severi. Also, the longest bridge in Europe can be found here - the Merchants' Bridge.

If you want to see the oldest synagogue in Central Europe then you should see the Erfurt's Old Synagogue dated 11thcentury. You can visit this place either through historical tram or even on a walking tour.

Meanwhile, visitors can experience the awarded European Capital of Culture 2010 in the Ruhr Region - the Ruh 2010. Situated along the River Ruhr North Rhine-Westphalia's industrial center, this place which used to be as coal mine has been transformed to a perfect place where art lovers and green travelers will marvel at.

Lastly, there's the Passion Play held in the beautiful town of Oberammergau, Bavaria. This event dates back to 1633 and is held once every 10 years. Thousands of visitors witnessed the famous play of Christ's suffering, dying, and finally, resurrection. There are around 2000 local people involved in this event which runs for a total of 5 months, usually during the months of May to October.

Those are some of the things that you can do in Germany. To complete your journey, you can also buy souvenir items from local establishments. For one, a German flag is an ideal souvenir item that will certainly help you remember the beauty of this country.

Is it Safe to Travel to Mexico?

Earlier this year, the United States government cautioned college students who are headed to Mexico during their spring breaks about a spike in violent crime there. While the State Department did not advise against travel to Mexico, it did recommend that travelers use prudent judgment to minimize risk of becoming a victim.

While lawlessness in Mexico is not new, there has been a spike in criminal behavior south of the border that travelers need to consider. Tourists to Mexican cities near the border should be particularly vigilant about their personal safety and exercise prudent judgment. Our government also warns that the southern Mexican state of Chiapas may not be a prime tourist locale as there are armed rebels and gangs in many regions.

One thing common to many spring-breakers is they often choose excitement and entertainment over caution and common sense. This shows that a college education doesn't guarantee the exercise of good judgment. When in Mexico, as in all foreign countries, be aware of your surroundings. Only enter legitimate businesses. Use main roads and drive during daylight hours. Carry a cellular phone at all times and make sure it will operate in your destinations. Keep important phone numbers with you including the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and the U.S. Consulates and Consular Agencies throughout the country. Leave jewelry and expensive clothing items at home which might tempt unsavory individuals to acquire them unlawfully.

Some folks accused the Americans of hyperventilating over this issue pointing out that the vast majority of tourists to Mexico travel safely. While this is true, the increase in violence and corruption in law enforcement has been well documented on both sides of the border.

We suggest that our overworked college scholars consult with a trained travel doctor before they finalize their itineraries. Choose your destinations wisely. Choose safety first.

George Tenet, former director of the C.I.A. directed his son to cancel his trip to Mexico with his college buddies this year. By George, I think he's got it right.

Top Airline Industry Analysts Predict the Market For 2010

There is no doubt that the airline industry has been totally creamed over the last many years, and thus, there seems to be a rather timid approach towards expansion as 2010 by all sides of the sector including airliner manufacturers, airports, airlines, related travel services, and aircraft leasing, financing, and corporate bonds in the airline industry. Question is; what do those in the know really say about it all?

Consider if you will that in 2008 - 2009 the industry saw $28 billion in losses (2009 was 11 Billion of that). Indeed, air cargo got hit the hardest and was horrible, with a complete price collapse as air cargo was down over 14%, and now perhaps thus, has the biggest forward growth projection. In fact, things have been very good in the first quarter as air cargo returns. Unfortunately it was too late for JAL and a few others, but those who'd weathered the incessant turbulent weather are looking at clear skies ahead.

The largest airlines took on massive debt especially the legacy airlines during this Great Recession, a global economic catastrophe felt round the world and will be felt for years to come; a case in point perhaps is the reality that "First Class" is now deemed a dead product, also high-end hotel accommodations, concierge services, and green travel seem to be a dead end. Most of this will eventually come back and there are positive signs; finally, but no one is out of the woods yet, look at Oil Barrel prices near $90.

Many large airlines had their market cap or value, so low you could buy them for about $100 million, of course you'd have had to take on massive debt in the 10s or even 100s of billions. In 2010 traffic growth is expected at 4.5% but no one believes that they will be back to the norms of 2007 until maybe the fourth quarter of 2012. And that's a bummer for those who believe in the Mayan Calendar end of the world theory!

In 2010 is all about cash, as borrowing will be tougher. Many believe there is still too much capacity in the industry upwards of 20% still, and yet many airlines in Middle East and Asia are out buying new planes? The reality is things are not the same in all regions even though for the most part this is a very Global Industry. There have been massive global losses, and even as things return some airlines may not be able to hold on, so there will be some mergers and acquisitions, but fuel is still the big kicker oil could go either way, in 2010.

Management says it didn't fail in airlines, each of the major industry's problems have been brewing for a while, and they were exacerbated by the 2008 global economic crash. Labor issues are still huge challenge for the industry, just look at the recent high-profile strikes in Europe? Some airlines are actually doing quite well like Asian air, and were growing throughout the Global Great Recession, but they were far and few between. Asian Air showed profits the entire period, which is absolutely an Outlier in retrospect. Please consider all this.

Top 10 Travel Tips To Help You Book A Dirt Cheap Flight

Smart travelers don't sit in a travel agents office to plan their vacations anymore, they go to travel websites to find discount airfare deals and book their own cheap flights. Airline carriers are at war and smart consumers who know the secrets to finding great online travel deals, can take advantage of this instability and save hundreds on their plane tickets.

Despite what you may have heard, tickets on flights are not sold at a fixed rate. Most airlines have a complex grading system in place for ticket prices. They have a set number of seats they must fill for a certain price and a second block of seats they will let go for a slightly cheaper ticket price and third set of seats for a another discounted ticket price. So, at any given time when you try to buy online airline tickets, you could come up with a number of different prices.

The secret to dirt cheap airfare, is knowing exactly when, where and how to buy the tickets. Timing is everything when it comes to finding cheap airfare. Should you buy your tickets one, two or six months before your desired departure date? Will you save more by purchasing round trip tickets or one way flights? Should you travel on or off season, and exactly when are the popular flight travel seasons? And finally, should you buy your plane tickets through a discount travel site, or through a popular travel search directory like Expedia or Travelocity?

Your first tip to find cheap airfare is to check out several travel directories that offer price results for all the major airlines so that you can compare ticket prices at a glance. My favorites are Expedia.com for their consistently low flight price quotes and easy two click price checks, Cheaptickets, com for their large inventory of cheap airfare selections and sidestep.com for their huge selection of customized flight results. As a traveler you need to log on to these websites and get a feel for how often the prices change and bookmark them for future use.

Airlines and travel websites offer bigger discounts and cheaper airfare prices to people who book online because it saves them the overhead costs of printing and handling a paper ticket. So be sure to use the e-ticket option when purchasing your plane tickets online. Don't wait till the last minute though, the best cheap airfare prices are found about 21 days before your departure date.

The highest plane ticket prices are found 14 days or less before departure, so don't wait till the last minute to buy your ticket if you're hoping to find discount airfare. But keep in mind that many airlines give away dirt cheap plane tickets about half an hour before liftoff.

Be sure to purchase round trip tickets rather than one way, the best cheap airfare deals are usually offered to round trip travelers.

Cheap flights during the holidays can be hard to find, the secret is to fly the day of the holiday not the day before or after when flights are jam packed.

You can save even more money on airfare if your plan your vacation during the off season. Travel professionals say that the best time to book a cheap flight online is mid-January to end February, April through May, and in the fall from mid-September to mid-December.

The time of day that you book online plane tickets is important too. If you checked plane ticket prices at 6 am and then again at 6 pm on the same travel website, you'd be shocked to find that you just lost 20 or 30 bucks by waiting too long or not long enough. Another variable that is imperative to finding dirt cheap flights is, the day of the week you make your online ticket purchase. Most traveler's purchase their tickets on a Saturday or Sunday, but is that the smartest day to get dirt cheap airfare?

Don't Miss These Holiday Travel Tips - Our Top 5 Holiday Travel Tips to Ensure a Wonderful Season!

It's that time of year and holiday travel tips are just what's needed so your holidays and travel plans are not complete nightmares.

I am a huge fan of the Chevy Chase and other comedy holiday movie classics that prove the point that holiday travel isn't always an enjoyable adventure.

Now that I have my own family and I'm sure many of you reading this can relate that travel during the holidays isn't the relaxing few days off that you imagined. It's more like a whirlwind of excitement, screaming, food, family, plenty of miles, and over before you know it.

You're almost excited to get back to the quiet days of work where you can actually sit for a moment and think. Well maybe not that bad right?

So, let's take a trip of our own and ensure you have a wonderful holiday season without so much chaos, stress, and headaches.

Discount Florida Vacations Holiday Travel Tips (this is from our own experiences)...

**Be sure that you don't overdo it. Now that we have a child everyone wants to see him during the holidays. With family that lives out of town that isn't always feasible to reach everyone within just a couple of days. We have finally decided to alternate years and/or spread out our holidays by seeing family and friends over the season and not within the few days most people celebrate their given holiday.

**Be giving, but be a little selfish. You work hard all year and this is a time for family, immediate family. We make it a priority to have our own celebration and worry about making ourselves relax, and enjoy the season first and foremost. There have been years when we've done nothing but stress and worry about everyone else. That has made for a lousy holiday travel season.

**Our holiday travel tips continue with being prepared. This is just good advice for traveling anytime of the year. The holidays get even crazier and busier with people rushing everywhere to make last minute meetings, parties, see family, shop, etc...
Have activities for the kids, snacks, drinks, your travel route planned out, and a back up plan. Make sure all your ducks are in a row and give yourself enough time to travel safely.

**Give yourself enough time to recoup. This is one of the most important holiday travel tips we can provide. Nobody enjoys going back to their normal, hectic routine without having some rest and relaxing while enjoying the holiday time with family and friends. It only comes once a year and each year we want to make it a time of warmth, love, and more before we venture into a new year.

**Our final of the holiday travel tips would have to be being safe. There are a lot of crazies that come out during the holidays and that may include your family. There are a lot of people trying to get too many places in such a short time. I remember one year my own father jumped on two young guys cars threatening them because they cut us off in a snow storm almost causing us to wreck. My brother and I were very young at the time and my father would've done anything to ensure our safety. Don't let the scam artists and lunatics take advantage of your good cheer and generosity during this time.

Also, for goodness sakes, no matter how in a hurry you are, how rude other people are, and how nuts things seem to be, take the time to enjoy it and please, please be nice to others no matter what. It makes for a miserable holiday season when people act like real jerks and idiots to others (the mall has to be the worst of all)! Be Nice and Happy Holidays.
